UPS Boosts Dividend

The Board of Directors of package delivery provider United Parcel Service, Inc. (NYSE: UPS – $109.28) declared an increased regular quarterly dividend of $0.91 per share, an increase of nearly 10% over the prior dividend. The dividend is payable March 7, 2018 to shareowners of record on Feb. 20, 2018. “Dividends remain a high priority at UPS,” said David Abney, UPS chairman and CEO. “Our strong cash flow from operations has enabled us to pay a stable or growing dividend for nearly 50 years.”   UPS has a long history of generous cash distributions and has paid a dividend every year since 1969. The new payout will yield 3.3% on an annualized basis.
