Looking at Dividends

Examining corporate payouts over the past year, higher stock prices have taken a toll on yields. However, as seen below, many companies have kept up their distribution pace commensurate with earnings growth and solid cash flows and, thus, rewarding investors with handsome dividends. The average dividend yield for the S&P 500 is about 1.85% at current levels. Take a look at current yields for the buttonwoodproject candidates:
